Evington Street, LE2 - Phases 1 & 2
Extension | Alteration | Refurbishment & New Build

Phase 1 began as an extension to a building that was used as a church. Having outgrown the existing space, the solution on an already tight site was to create new space within carefully extended areas that permitted natural light while reducing shadow casting on neighbouring properties.

Phase 2 was in the conversion of a site that was formally a garage into a residential unit for clergy. A workable balance had to be made between meeting the requirements of the client, the physical constraints of the site and planning regulation resulting in a 2 storey development with a ‘room in the roof’ that matches in proportion and character with its Edwardian and Victorian surrounds.
